Sloosh Dive Sticks Recall

At Joyin, safety is our highest priority, and we work diligently to earn the trust of parents and caregivers every day. In line with this commitment, Joyin has issued a voluntary recall of its dive sticks sold in packages of Sloosh water toys, Models 40041, 40003 and 16154 (recalled dive sticks) in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recalled dive sticks were only contained in Model 40041 sold prior to October 23, 2025, and in Models 40003 and 16154 sold prior to December 31, 2025.  The recalled dive sticks exceeded the compress limit set forth in the federal dive sticks regulation, which may pose an injury risk if  a user falls or lands on the dive stick in shallow water, or during underwater retrieval.  The Press Release related to this recall can be found here:  Joyin Expands Recall of Sloosh Dive Sticks Due to Risk of Serious Injury from Impalement; Violate Federal Dive Sticks Ban | CPSC.gov

 

We kindly remind consumers to carefully verify the product brand, model, and identifying details against the following official recall scope before taking any disposal actions. In cases of uncertainty, we recommend retaining the product and contacting us for confirmation to ensure appropriate handling in accordance with the recall instructions.

 

Importantly, this recall applies only to the specific dive sticks described below. No other water toy products sold by Joyin are subject to this recall.  PLEASE SEE THE INFORMATION BELOW REGARDING WHERE TO FIND PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION FOR DIVE STICKS IN JOYIN MODELS 40041, 40003 and 16154 SUBJECT TO THIS RECALL Please confirm that the dive sticks in your possession are in fact from Models 40041, 40003 or 16154 sold by Joyin before you discard or destroy any products or reach out to Joyin about this recall.  

 

The recalled dive sticks were sold in a package of Sloosh water toys, Model 40041, containing 30 pieces, Model 40003, containing 18 pieces, and Model 16154, containing 8 pieces.  Only the dive sticks in packages of Model 40041 sold prior to October 23, 2025, and in Models 40003 and 16154 sold prior to December 31, 2025, are being recalled. There were 5 dive sticks sold in each package of Model 40041, and 4 dive sticks sold in each package of Model 40003, None of the other pool toys contained in Models 40041 and 40003 at any time are subject to this recall. Model 16154 contained 8 dive sticks, and no other items, which are subject to this recall.    

The model numbers 40041 and 40003 are  printed on the back of the box of Sloosh water toys, next to the bar code, and on the top of one end of the dive stick, along with Joyin’s name and tracking information.  The model number 16154 is printed on the polybag above the barcode, and on top of one end of the dive stick, along with Joyin’s name and tracking information.

 

Product Improvement

We have redesigned the dive sticks to meet U.S. federal dive stick regulations.  The redesigned dive sticks do not exceed the compression limit set forth in the federal regulations.  

 

What Should You Do?

Discontinue use of recalled dive sticks immediately and follow the steps below to obtain redesigned dive sticks. Consumers should take a photo of the disposed recalled dive sticks in the trash and email it to Joyin at  support@joyin.com. Once received, Joyin will send the consumer redesigned dive sticks that meet federal regulations in an equal number to those disposed.
