Q: WHY IS JOYIN CONDUCTING THIS VOLUNTARY RECALL?

A: The recalled dive sticks exceeded the compress limit set forth in the federal dive sticks regulation. In shallow water, children may fall or land on a dive stick, resulting in piercing injuries. Facial and eye injuries are also possible when children attempt to retrieve the sticks underwater.

Q: HOW DO I KNOW IF I HAVE THE SLOOSH DIVE STICKS THAT ARE BEING RECALLED?

A: The recalled dive sticks were sold prior to October 23, 2025 in a package of Sloosh water toys, Model 40041, containing 30 pieces (“Sloosh water toys”).  There were 5 dive sticks sold in each package of Sloosh water toys.  Only the dive sticks contained in the package of Sloosh water toys that were sold prior to October 23, 2025 are being recalled.

The model number 40041 is printed on the back of the box of Sloosh water toys, next to the bar code. The model number 40041 is also printed on top of one end of the dive stick, along with Joyin’s name and tracking information.

Q: WHERE AND WHEN WERE THE SLOOSH DIVE STICKS BEING SOLD?

A: Sloosh water toys sold online at Amazon, Temu, Wayfair, Target Plus and SHEIN, from February 19, 2019 through October 23, 2025 for between $16.99 to $21.99 USD.  

Q: WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY SLOOSH DIVE STICKS?

A: Immediately discontinue use of the recalled dive sticks and take them away from children and dispose of them. The recalled dive sticks have now been redesigned by Joyin to meet federal dive stick regulations.  The redesigned dive sticks do not exceed the compression limit set forth in the federal regulations.

Consumers should take a photo of the disposed dive sticks in the trash and email it to Joyin at support@joyin.co. Once received, Joyin will send the consumer redesigned dive sticks at Joyin’s cost and at no cost to the consumer, in an equal number to the dive sticks disposed.      

Q: WHAT IF MY PRODUCT SEEMS SAFE TO USE?

A: Out of an abundance of caution, this voluntary recall is issued to prevent any potential incidents

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE ANOTHER JOYIN PRODUCT, SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT IT BEING RECALLED AND NOT SAFE?

A: No, this recall is only for Sloosh dive sticks contained in packages of Sloosh water toys, Model 40041, that were sold prior to October 23, 2025.  The Sloosh dive sticks have now been redesigned to pass all federal regulations, so any dive sticks purchased after October 23, 2025 are not subject to this recall.  Also, all other Joyin products, including the other pool toys sold alongside the recalled dive sticks, are not included in this recall.

Q: WHAT IS JOYIN DOING TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN?

A: The recalled dive sticks have now been redesigned by Joyin to meet federal dive stick regulations.  The redesigned dive sticks do not exceed the compression limit set forth in the federal regulations., Joyin will continue to test all of its products to ensure they meet or exceed all applicable standards in the marketplace for quality, safety, performance and functionality.

A: No.  But please be aware that this voluntary recall only applies to dive sticks that were sold in packages of Sloosh water toys prior to October 23, 2025.  Any Sloosh water toys purchased in the future are not subject to this recall, as they have been redesigned and comply with federal regulations.
